We check duct size, return air and static pressure against what your furnace, AC or heat pump actually needs, instead of bolting new equipment onto ductwork that was never designed for it.
Flue and vent work is a safety issue. We match the venting to the appliance, whether that is B-vent for a standard furnace or water heater or PVC for a high-efficiency furnace.

Many older Salt Lake Valley homes were built with one central return. Closed bedroom doors and a single undersized return lead to rooms that never reach temperature, noisy registers and a blower working harder than it should. Adding or enlarging returns is often the biggest comfort upgrade you can make.
When a standard furnace is replaced with a high-efficiency model that vents through PVC, the water heater may be left alone on a flue sized for two appliances. That can cause poor draft and condensation in the flue. We check this on every furnace change-out and resize the vent when needed.
Bath fans that dump moist air into the attic, and dryer vents made of crushed foil or long runs with too many turns, are common and easy to overlook. We reroute them to vent outdoors with the right materials so moisture and lint leave the house.

Maintenance PlansNo, we do not offer duct cleaning. Our focus is on duct design, repair, sealing and venting, the work that changes how well your system heats and cools. If dust or allergens are the concern, a better filter and our indoor air quality options are usually a more effective place to start.
The most common causes are undersized or disconnected supply ducts, a lack of return air from that room, or leaky ductwork in an attic or crawlspace. We measure airflow and inspect the duct runs to find the actual cause before recommending a fix. For multi-story homes, zoning may also help.
Not always. Many homes can keep most of their existing ducts. However, air conditioners and heat pumps usually need more airflow than a furnace alone, so we check duct size and return air and may recommend modifying the plenum, trunk or returns so the new equipment runs efficiently and quietly.
High-efficiency condensing furnaces vent through PVC pipe and usually take combustion air through a second PVC pipe, rather than using a metal B-vent flue. When one of these furnaces is installed, we also check whether a water heater that shared the old flue still vents properly on its own.
Yes. We reroute bath fans and dryer vents that terminate in the attic, crawlspace or wall cavity so they exhaust outdoors, and we replace flimsy foil or plastic dryer duct with metal duct to reduce restrictions and lint buildup.
